The industry has pledged between 6 and 8% of revenue in benefits and business rates to local communities worth up to a total of £1bn for Scottish communities.
We want the communities that we work with to benefit from a home-grown source of natural gas, long term jobs and the commercial success of our operations. We believe those communities with hydrocarbons under their homes and land should benefit directly from hosting sites.
The community payment will include a fund for the benefit of those living in the vicinity of each site. The ultimate decision on spending will be determined through a consultation process with the local community
